Leslie Green is the Founder and CEO of Golden Life Ventures, LLC. She has a diverse background that expands across a variety of industries, which include travel, public relations and entertainment. She is also a Publicist, an author and creator of Teach Me PR 101.
Leslie’s first love is music and entertainment. She currently serves as the Creative Director for Greenhouse Entertainment, her family-run music production company based in Washington, D.C. She is also a singer and songwriter and was featured on Greenhouse’s first nationally distributed compilation album, The Greenhouse Effect.
Having a passion and love for travel, Leslie founded Golden Life Ventures, a home-based travel agency in 2007 as a means to travel more and generate income to supplement her pursuit of her music ventures. In addition to serving as a travel consultant, having earned the IATAN card one of the travel industry’s most highly respected credentials, Leslie now trains and coaches others on how to break into the travel industry and generate full-time incomes on a part-time basis from home. Leslie also has more than 12 years of experience as a communication and public relations professional, serving in both the public and private sector. Most recently, Leslie served as the Director of Communications for the Office of Motion Picture and Television Development (MPTD) for the Government of the District of Columbia, where she was responsible for creating and implementing the communication and marketing strategies for the agency. In addition to managing the media relations, web site content, social media platforms and other communication activities for the office, she created and managed the Filmmaker of the Month and Location of the Month initiatives as well as the Reel Talk with Film DC podcast.
Prior to joining MPTD, Leslie was a Senior Account Executive for GMMB, where she developed and implemented communication plans, conducted media outreach, and developed briefing documents for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s education program and the UN Foundation’s “Girl Up” campaign. Leslie started her career as a senior account executive at the Walker Marchant Group where she led communications activities for Southeastern University, the National Council of Negro Women (NCNW) and True Colors, an Atlanta-based theater company.
Leslie received a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Virginia and a master’s degree in communication from Howard University. She currently resides in her hometown of Washington, D.C.
